Design & Build
An interactive courtyard garden designed around discovery, nature and science – this project enhances the existing courtyard garden into an interactive outdoor learning environment for students.
Butterfly-attracting plants and a mini eco pond are introduced to showcase aquatic life, including submerged and emergent aquatic plants alongside fishes, allowing students to observe natural ecosystems up close. A green wall with colourful foliage softens the plain painted walls, while a railing-mounted green wall system featuring cat’s claw creeper cascades down into the courtyard, extending the sense of lushness vertically.
At the second-storey level, a series of thematic balcony gardens, comprising a herbs and spices corner, fern garden, fruit and vegetable garden, and desert garden, provide students with opportunities to explore and learn about different plant types, habitats, and growing conditions through hands-on observation.
